One designer who is sure to achieve great things for herself is newcomer Carrie- Ann Stein. Stein, from initially studying law, she moved to London to persue Fashion Design with Knitwear at Cenral St Martins. Her work reflects and is inspired by her upbringing in Lancashire, showcasing working class life, through a collection incorporating a combination of digital prints, slogans and images. The silhouette, albeit whimsical and playful, work to convey Steins own experience when growing up in Lancashire and the rapid decline a result of its textile trade, which during the 19th century was responsible for almost 85% of the worlds cotton manufacture, ceased.
